KATE DEL CASTILLO (Laura) has been the leading lady in nine telenovelas taking them to the top of the Nielsen charts every time. They have aired multiple times in the US and in more than 100 countries, reaching fans all over the world. She recently starred opposite America Ferrara in The Same Moon, which premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival, and had lead roles in The Black Pimpernel, Bad Guys, and a cameo as Antonio Banderas' wife in Gregory Nava's Bordertown. She was nominated this year as Best Actress by Mexico's Academy of Arts and Sciences (the Ariel Award) for her performance in American Visa and won Best Actress at the Huelva Film Festival in Spain. The film premiered at the AFI Film Festival Latin Series in 2006 and is nominated as Best Foreign Film in Spanish for the 2007 Goya Awards in Spain. Del Castillo recently lent her voice for the character of Sally Carrera for the Spanish version of Disney's Cars. She made her crossover debut on American TV as a series regular on the Golden Globe-nominated Fox series "American Family." Del Castillo has graced the covers of the top Spanish-language magazines, and was one of the 2006 "People in Espanol 50 most beautiful." Upcoming films include Lime Salted Love, Solitary Birds, and Julia, co-starring Tilda Swinton and directed by Erick Zonca (The Dreamlife of Angels).
